Privacy
TripPakka helps friend groups agree on trip dates and track a shared money pool. This page says plainly what we store and what we never touch. Last updated 1 July 2026.
What we store
- Your Google account basics: name and email, used to sign you in and show your name to your group. We never see your password.
- Your trips: trip names, dates, who joined, busy-day marks, RSVPs, and votes.
- The pool ledger: the per-head share, due dates, and who marked or confirmed a payment. Amounts and statuses only, never account details.
- Notification subscriptions: if you turn on push notifications, the browser subscription needed to deliver them. Turning them off in your browser removes it.
- Usage analytics (PostHog): which screens and actions are used, tied to your account, so we can fix what is confusing. No ad networks, no data brokers, nothing is sold.
What we never touch
Money. Payments happen directly between you and your trip lead over UPI, inside your own UPI app. TripPakka never holds, moves, or sees your money, bank account, or UPI PIN. The app is a ledger of who says they paid and who confirmed it, nothing more.
Who sees your data
The people in your trip see your display name, your busy days within the trip window, your RSVP, and your pool status for that trip. Anyone with a trip link can see the trip name and its date window before joining, so share links like you would share the plan itself.
Deleting your data
Deleting a trip removes its plan for everyone. To have your account and its data removed entirely, email muttwild@gmail.com from your signed-in address and we will do it within 30 days.
